Breakfast served, we start the tour with a visit to Wat Visoun, the oldest temple in Luang Prabang built in 1513. Then we turn to the excellent Arts and Ethnology Centre, which shows us the traditional arts and the lifestyles of different ethnical groups in Laos. The next destination will be Wat Xiengthong – the most beautiful pagoda of Laos. The name Wat Xiengthong means “Temple of the Golden City” and its unique roofs make tourist overwhelmed. We then cruise along the Mekong River, which brings up to us a fascinating view of the peaceful countryside. Later, we will discover the amazing Pak Ou Caves in the village of Ban Muangkeo. Pak Ou, the Caves of a thousand Buddhas, is not only a unique destination to explore but also brings great historical values. Along the way, we will drop by Ban Xang Hai, which’s famous for homemade alcohol. We then come back to Luang Prabang by car through the handicraft village of Ban Nongxai, and take time to visit silversmith workshop. We return Luang Prabang by late afternoon. Meals on your own. It will take one hour and twenty minutes to leave out of the town of Luang Prabang. Along the way, you will capture gorgeous views and rustic sights of paddy and pineapple fields. Then you will head to Ban Longlao - a local H'mong village in which the culture, customs and language are all different to mainstream Laos and are well-preserved. From the H’mong village, it takes between two and two and half hours to travel through primary forest and jungle before arriving at the amazing Kuang Si Waterfall. You will enjoy your own lunch at the time of relaxing, swimming and climbing to the top of the waterfall. At the end of the day, you will come back Luang Prabang in time to admire the sunset over the Mekong. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning at about 8 am, we will leave for Xieng Khuang, which has been famed widely for its amazing "Plain Jars". Then going through a twisty mountain route, we will stop at Houi Hei, where tourists will have a great view of the surrounding mountains. We then come to Ban Kiu Kam Pone, a Khmu village to travel before reaching Phou Khoun and having lunch. We go toward Xien Khuang province, which has the highest mountain range of Laos such as Phu bia (2.820 m), Phu xao (2.690 m). After that, we stop at Ban Son Boom, a Hmong village. Our last destination of the day is a hidden Buddha cave which marks a historical period of the Vietnam War. Then we make a final stop to visit an Old Russian tank. We start the fifth day with a visit to the Mines Action Group or MAG office to learn about the work they do in clearing land mines and unexploded ordnance in the area. Next we travel to Jar Site 1, the largest site and Jar Site 3, which is on the top of a hill offering panoramic picture of the surrounding countryside. We come back to Phonsavon town and take off a flight to Vienntiane. Meals on your own. Overnight in Vientiane.

Today we start visiting the oldest pagoda Wat Sisaket at first, which has thousands of rare and precious Buddha statues. Then we explore the temple Wat Prakeo that’s unique by its architecture and the famous Emerald Buddha image. Our tour continues with a visit to the splendid That Luong Stupa – the biggest and the most beautiful temple in Laos. It has become the symbol of culture and the pride of Laotians. On coming to Vientiane, the very first place that tourist cannot ignore is Patuxay Monument considered as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. You can see the whole picture of the city from Patuxay and take your own beautiful photos. Our final stop will be the brilliant COPE Exhibition Centre where displays documentaries about Unexploded Ordinance (UXO) problem in Laos caused by the heavy bombing campaign during the Vietnam War. We drive you forward to the airport for a morning flight to Pakse. Next you will get on a private traditional boat for 2-hour cruise to Champassak. After arriving at the Champa Kingdom, we will travel by car to Wat Phou which is the second World Heritage in Laos. Wat Phou is the most outstanding destination to tourists when coming to Champasak. It is a mixture construction of Khmer style worshiping Hindu during the 9th century to the 13th century. In the afternoon, you will visit Don Khong – an area of 4000 islands which is the largest point of the Mekong River during the rainy season. Don Khong will bring you great experiences as walking or cycling through pleasant little villages. We end the day with a visit to the Khmer temple of Oup Mong at Ban Houei Tomo, covered by the forest. Come back to Khong Island via ferry in the early evening. Meals on your own. Breakfast served and we will soon travel to Don Khone with a long tail boat tour to capture beautiful sights of the surrounding countryside. Then we disembark and travel by bicycle to discover the island, emter the remains of the French period and the stunning Liphi Waterfall. We turn back to the mainland at the fishing village of Ban Nakasang and go further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is the largest waterfall in South East Asia connecting the two banks of the Mekong River with Champasak and Strung Treng province of Cambodian. As presenting here, you will understand clearly why Khone Phapheng is called “Niagara of Asia”. Then we drive back to Khong Island. Meals on your own. Overnight in Khong Island.

Khong Island – Bolaven Plateau - Pakse

In the early morning we will drive north to the Bolaven Plateau - the most impressive destination to tourists. The Bolaven Plateau has cool climate, fertile soil which is the suitable land for tea, coffee, rubber plantations of Laos. Next we make a stop at Houey Ten, a Katua village that’s well known for knife making. We then arrive at a tea plantation before visiting Tad Fan Waterfall, an amazing twin chute waterfall.
In the afternoon, we pay a visit to a coffee plantation, then move to Tha Teng Market, a colorful ethnic minority food market. Next we head to another interesting minority village, Ban Bong Neua, an Alak village, which boasts a sacrificial alter. We arrive at the stunning Tadlo Waterfall by late afternoon and head back to Pakse, stopping at Ban Houi Hun, an Alak weaving village, where they keep coffins under their houses, and at another picturesque waterfall, Paxuam.
