After your breakfast, you will enjoy a joining trip exploring Cu Chi Tunnels with totally new experiences: accessing into Cu Chi by boat instead of car, exploring local life outside Saigon. Embark on your speed boat from Ho Chi Minh City’s pier; your English - speaking guide will introduce you to life along the banks of the Saigon River as your boat gracefully slips through knots of floating water hyacinths on this scenic one-hour boat trip. After a short documentary, your guide will lead you through the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, dug by resourceful guerrilla fighters to provide communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters during numerous conflicts. A traditional Vietnamese lunch of local specialties like lemongrass chi cken and caramelized clay pot pork will be served after your visit to the tunnels. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon then free (no guide no vehicle). Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Sai Gon – Ben Tre – Can Tho

Today, your driver will drive you from Saigon to Phong Nam in Ben Tre District, a journey of about 2 hours, where you will start your excursion into deep Mekong Delta area. Pick up at the Phong Nam brick kiln, where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand. Get on boat and will cruise along the Chet Say river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including cocon ut activated charcoal factory where coconut shell is put into high heat kiln to produce coconut charcoal: a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products. Then the boat will cruise through the small canal, discover the local life. The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, visit a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself before boarding your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) or biking into the village where you can see farm, rice field and vegetable plan before stopping at a local house for a delicious and filling lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant - ear fish and river shrimp, washed down with some cold drinks or beers. It’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow canals. Take boat back to Pier and then transfer to Can Tho by road. Check in hotel at the end of the afternoon. Dinner on your own. Can Tho – Sai Gon – Hanoi

Transfer to Ninh Kieu Quay where you will board a traditional local boat for a cruise to the lively, colorful floating markets of Cai Rang. You will be surprised by the huge variety of products sold at the market, from the well-known fruits like mangos and bananas, to the most exotic ones like mangosteens, star apples, or the sweetened longans and the very odorous durians. Once satisfied with the fruity flavors of the market, you will th en enter the labyrinth of channels and streams surrounding Can Tho, and from the boat you can observe the residents daily life on the river, even see children swimming and laughing gleefully. Private car picks up in the late morning, upon disembarkation. Then, transfer back Saigon airport for the flight to Hanoi. Flight: VN 266 Saigon – Hanoi (18.30 – 20.30). This morning we will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his nearby former residence - a traditional stilt house, the revered One-Pillar Pagoda and Vietnam’s first university, the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature. Keeping your journey to Hoa Lo Prison, used by the French colonists in Vietnam for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for prisoners of war during the Vietnam War when it was sarcastically known to American prisoners of war as the "Hanoi Hilton". The prison was demolished during the 1990s, though the gatehouse remains as a museum. The balance of the day is free at leisure to enjoy a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the ’36 streets’. Thi s bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around you. Hanoi - Ninh Binh

• Activities:

  Drive to Nho Quan – Van Long, enjoy landscape, take photos, explore Ninh Binh’s highlights.

Today we will drive out of town to Nho Quan – Van Long. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and take the opportunity to make some photos of the endless rice fields bordered by the mountain ranges. Upon arrival at a typical local house, we take a rest here then enjoy a special local lunch prepared by the host family. This is a great possibility to join the real life in Vietnam. After lunch time and some relaxation, get on your bike and cycling along the dike which one side is bordered by lovely Hoang Long river and the other by immense rice fields. Following this experience, you will board on a traditional sampan rowing boat to get deeper into the Van Long Nature Reserve to observe the Ardeola bacchus, Egretta garzetta... which are generally called as white storks by locals... Van Long is a great place to observe migrating raptors (especially during spring and autumn) and it is also the only known breeding site for the magnificent Bonelli’s Eagle in Vietnam. In the late afternoon, check in to your hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Ninh Binh – Halong

Morning departure towards Ha Long, we will arrive in Ha Long at around noon. Upon arriving at Ha Long harbor, board a beautiful wooden junk for a overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood provided. Overnight on board.

Halong Bay – Hanoi – Luang Prabang

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the aquamarine water of the bay at its best. After breakfast, the junk continues to cruise quietly through the spectacular limestone formations of Halong Bay. Enjoy the peacefulness of sailing amongst the unique island s of the bay. Return to Halong harbour for transfer with guide back to Hanoi airport where you will catch the flight to Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang city tour

Visit this city found on the left bank of the Mekong River. Previously a religious capital, Luang Prabang showcases more than 100 temples, considered amongst the most beautiful in Laos. In particular, you will discover: Vat Xieng Thong or Temple of the Royal City - a vast collection of sacred buildings and the most beautiful temple in the city. Vat May - built at the end of the 18th century, a capped sanctuary featuring a five sided roof surmounted by three parasols. Vat Visoun - the oldest temple in the city with its wooden windows inspired by the Khmer Temple of Vat Phou. Vat Aham - located just beside Vat Visoun, framed by two large Banyan trees. Vat Senna - the first monastery whose roof was to be covered with yellow and red tiles. At the end of the afternoon, climb Mount Phousi Mount to admire the sunset and then discover the H’mong Night Market on your way back to your hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Khuang Sy – Luang Prabang

  Visit Royal Palace, National museum, head to Khuang Sy waterfall, stop by some villages, turn back to Luang Prabang.

In the morning, you'll visit the Royal Palace, today the National Museum, before heading off to Khuang Sy waterfall on a roun dtrip journey of around 70 km. The road is bordered by villages and rice fields. You'll stop in some of these villages and have a countryside lunch by the water fall, which is frequented by locals and villagers. You can swim in the waterfall, which scatters into many basins. Return to Luang Prabang and continue to visit the city. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
