In the morning, cycle through the rural scenery of Hoi An to a small vegetable planting village located on the banks of Tra Que lagoon (5km – 15mins cycling from Hoi An). Tra Que village has been known for its special aromatic herbs, mint and basil; leaves of those plants are smaller than usual, however they have a very particular aroma. Join in with local people in their daily work of planting and watering vegetables. Then join with the local family to cook some local specialities if you might wish and enjoy what you have done after cooking. Return to Hoi An in the afternoon and enjoy a walking tour in Hoi An town, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site because of its unusually well-preserved ancient streets and homes. Cu Chi Tunnel

This morning we will leave the city by private vehicle to visit the amazing tunnel network of Cu Chi. This incredible system, covering almost 250km in length was shelter to over 16,000 Vietcong guerrillas during the wars. Initially started in 1948 to against the French air and ground sweeps, the network were then served communication routes, storage facilities, hospitals and living quarters for Vietnamese fighters throughout American war. If interested in you can even descend into the tunnels to learn more about the harsh conditions faced by Vietcong guerrillas who lived here. Mekong Delta day trip

Today we depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Mekong Delta. Arrival in Phong Nam Pier, we will cruise along An Hoa River, visit charcoal workshop, coconut-processing workshop. Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking and visit rice paper cake workshop. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Stop at candy workshop, have a look and try some. Take a walk to family workshop making sleep mats. Take a tuk tuk on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take rowing boat along water palm creek and boat back to Hung Vuong Pier. Transfer back Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
