In the early morning, we will head to the border town of Huay Xay. The Luang Say Cruise boat leaves the pier at 09:00 hrs. Then cruise down the Mekong River towards Pakbeng. You can observe rural life along the way and see minority ethnic groups. Enjoy a buffet for lunch on board. We will reach Pakbeng before sunset and check-in at LuangSay Lodge. Dinner will be served on the terrace.

Pakbeng – Pak Ou Caves – Luang Prabang

After having breakfast at lodge, you will have some free time till 08:30. Get into a boat for the cruise discovering a Hmong village. Have lunch on board. Go to Pak-Ou village at the mouth of the Nam Ou River, and visit Pak Ou Caves. Make a brief exploration of the traditional process of manufacturing local rice alcohol. Arrive at Luang Prabang before sunset and transfer to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Stay overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Half day city walking tour

In the morning, we will head to the Royal Palace Museum to see a range of interesting artifacts. Then begin our walking tour discovering some of Luang Prabang hidden secrets. Trek to Wat Xiengthong and Wat Chomkhong, which is known for its decorative carvings. You will also come to see the Fine Arts School with many quality artworks. The final destination of the day is the magnificent Wat Xiengthong that represents the classical Luang Prabang style. Meals on your own. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Hmong Experience and Kuang Si Waterfall

Travel on a private vehicle leaving Luang Prabang. You will have about one hour and twenty minutes to view the beautiful scenery and rural landscapes with rice terraces and pineapple fields. Reach Ban Longlao - a local H'mong village and have a look at their culture, customs and language. Trek through the jungle to come to the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfall. Enjoy some relaxing time for relaxation, swimming and climbing. Back to Luang Prabang and have view of sunset over the Mekong. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Xieng Khuang

At about 8 am, we start our departure to Xieng Khuang which is famous for the ‘Plain of Jars’. The first stop is at Houi Hei, where you can have great views of the surrounding mountains. Then continue go to Ban Kiu Kam Pone - a Khmu village to explore before come to Phou Khoun. After lunch, we continue drive to Xieng Khuang province. Make a stop at Ban Son Boom - a Hmong village. Tourists will have chance to visit a hidden Buddha Cave and understand about a tragic period of time in Laos history. Arrive at the hotel by early evening. Dinner on your own. Stay overnight in Xieng Khuang.

Xieng Khuang - Plain of Jars

The highlight of today is discovering the Plain of Jars. We will firstly come to visit the Mines Action Group or MAG office to learn about their work in the area. Then transfer to the picturesque Jar Site 2, and begin 1-hour trek to the impressive Jar Site 3. In the afternoon we continue to visit Jar Site 1, the largest site, before back to the hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight in Xiengkhuang.

Xieng Khuang – Muang Khoun - Vang Vieng

Go to visit the interesting Central Market in the early morning, then (time permitting) drive to the ancient town of Muang Khoun to explore ancient pagodas in the Lanna style and Wat Phiawat, a ruined temple containing a huge sitting Buddha. Travel by road to Vang Vieng. Stop for lunch in Phou Khoun. Come to visit Ban Hin Ngon - a picturesque Hmong village. You will also have an optional stop at Koe Kuang - a local forest market. Our final stop of the day is Phatang Mountain where you can take various amazing photos of limestone karsts. Arrive at Vang Vieng for resting by night. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Vang Vieng – Vientiane

  Visit Tham Jang Cave, see the karst scenery, head to Vientiane, stop at Tha Heua village, tour Nam Ngum Lake, pass by Ban Keun, go to Don Makai Market

This morning we will go to Tham Jang cave and view the beauty of Nam Song River. Then set out on the road towards Vientiane. Stop at Tha Heua village and see dried fish hanging in front of the houses. Continue to Nam Ngum, a picturesque lake created by damming the Nam Ngum River. After having lunch, we stop at Ban Keun to see its salt mine. You can also learn about people’s daily life. The final stop will be set in the insect market Don Makai Market. Return Vientiane by early evening. Stay overnight in Vientiane.

Vientiane - Half day city tour

Today you will enjoy a half day city tour. Begin with a visit to Wat Sisaket with thousands of Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. Then head to the sacred structure of That Luang Stupa. Don’t forget to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument. Finally, drop by the COPE exhibition centre and learn more about some pieces of past time. Meals on your own. Stay overnight in Vientiane.

Vientiane – Pakse – Tadlo

Go to the airport to take the early flight to Pakse. On arrival you will head to Bolaven Plateau. It is known for cool temperature being located high above the Mekong Valley. Our first stop is Houey Ten - a Katu village specializing in knife making. Then pay a look at tea plantation, followed by a stop at Tad Fan Waterfall to have sightseeing. Go to Tha Teng Market which is full of ethnic minority food. And you can explore an interesting minority village - Ban Bong Neua that boasts a sacrificial alter. Arrive at Tadlo Waterfall in the afternoon and have rest there. You can choose to take an elephant ride to view thoroughly the beautiful scenery. Meals on your own. Overnight at Tadlo

Tadlo – Pakse – Wat Phou – Khong Island

After breakfast, we head to the attractive Paxuam Waterfall. Then transfer to Champassak and onto Wat Phou which is another World Heritage Site in Laos. You can see ruins of ancient temple in Wat Phou that contains the Ancient Khmer architectures. In the late afternoon, take a drive to Don Khong, an area of the 4000 islands. Arrive at Khong Island via ferry early evening. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Khong Island – Khone Island – Don Daeng

After breakfast, we pay a visit to the surrounding countryside, and go to Don Khone on a long tail boat. You can have option of exploring the island by bike, which will take you to visit the remains of the French period and Liphi Waterfall. Return to the mainland and come to see the fishing village of Ban Nakasang then drive to Khone Phapheng. It is considered the largest waterfall in South East Asia and a truly impressive site near the Laos - Cambodia border. Then we drive back and take a boat on the Mekong towards Don Daeng. Have time to relax and explore this island. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
